I hate letters like this. You sustained me when I was a country DJ. You were always 'Gentle on my Mind' when you played 'With a Vamp in The Middle', and I used to open my shows with "Turn Your Radio On," your original and Roy Acuff's copy.We mmusicians are always a bit queer, I guess, when it comes to the hereafter. I lost my grandmother this spring to grand age. I sang with her at several community vocal festivals. When we attended her memorial service I could hear her sing.
Now when I hear a country song of the traditional genre, I will hear your voice and fiddle.
