I made my first visit to the US in 1980, when a Dutch friend introduced me to John's music. From day one I was touched by his voice, impressed by his playing. Then I got into other directions, drifting away from country or bluegrass. Until recently, I re-discovered his music and realized his voice and his tunes are forever. I started to buy more of it and these days John's voice can be heard in my home and my car. Pretty unusual, as in Holland not many people know him. I felt a shock when I opened the newspaper today...
Thank you John for moving my heart. To me you were one of those true musicians, who understood the essence of life.
